Nepenthes ampullaria is a swamp-dwelling species that will develop basal rosettes when larger giving the appearance of a carpet of pitchers with no leaves. Loves high temperatures and humidity. Pitchers are globose and vary enormously in colouration. Green pitchers form from Bau, Sarawak. 6-8 cm.
